The local area

Le Barroux is a magnificent hilltop village dominated by its castle – originally a military fortress originally dating from the twelfth century, it was transformed into a superb Renaissance residence during the sixteenth century. Its narrow streets, hemmed in by its stone houses, are a delight to wander through. The village is also renowned for its two monasteries.

Close to the property is the Lac du Paty, which offers a number of festive activities at once retro and friendly (country dancing, traditional bals musette, tango evenings…).

La Pinède is set at the foot of the Ventoux, close to the Dentelles de Montmirail, an area offering a wealth of interesting sites and places to explore, such as the wine-growing domains, archaeological sites, walking circuits, cycling routes (both off- and on-road) and, of course, the wide variety of festivals throughout the summer months.

The region is also famed for its truffles, wines, olive groves, fresh fruit and vegetables…

Malaucène, just 4km away, is known to the cycling fraternity as one of the bases from which you can launch your ascent on the mythical Mont Ventoux.
